With Memorial Day just behind us, Oakland International Airport advertising is heating up for the summer. The airport has done a lot to increase passengers this year and it’s working extremely well. That’s good news for marketers targeting the many travelers that pass through the airport on a daily basis.

For Memorial Day 2017, OAK airport expected around 160,000 travelers for the four day weekend. However, the increase in passengers won’t slow down anytime soon . . . OAK has plans to offer 15% more seats.

The airport has seen a boost in new flights lately, making it the ideal destination for businesses interested in marketing to international travelers and business people. Southwest has just added its first international route to Mexico in February and Norwegian launched nonstop flights in March to Denmark. These two new destinations make it more attractive than ever to fly out of Oakland International Airport. Advertising is now seen by even more eyes throughout the airport and that will only increase as the summer progresses.

One of the biggest advantages of traveling via Oakland International airport is the ease of transportation. Just outside the airport is an access to the city’s BART system, as well as AC Transit bus service, taxis and shuttles.
