Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect the information you give us when you request a media kit, send a campaign brief, or contact us, and we use it to reply and to help plan your campaign. We use standard analytics and advertising tools to understand how the site is used and to measure our ads. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers that help us run the site and respond to you.
Who we are
EAM Advertising ("EAM," "we," "us") is an independent airport and in-flight media agency based in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers theairport.org and its pages, including landing pages reached from our advertising. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@theairport.org.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Media kit requests: your work email address.
- Campaign briefs and contact forms: your name, email address, company, the airport or event you are planning for, and anything you choose to write in the brief or message.
- Calls and email: whatever you share with us when you schedule a call or write to us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Site analytics: pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and how you move through it. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for this.
- Advertising measurement: when you arrive from one of our Google Ads, Google may set cookies and pass us a click identifier so we can tell which ads lead to media kit requests and briefs. If you submit a form, we may send a hashed (scrambled) version of your email to Google to improve that measurement. Google cannot read the email itself.
- Session recording and heatmaps: on some pages we use a tool that records how visitors scroll and click, so we can improve the layout. Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To send you the media kit and follow up about your campaign, which is the reason you gave us your email.
- To read your brief and come back with availability and a recommended plan.
- To answer questions and schedule calls.
- To understand which pages, ads, and keywords lead to real inquiries, so we spend our advertising budget sensibly.
- To keep the site working and secure.
We do not use your information to send newsletters or marketing emails unless you ask for them. A media kit request leads to the kit and a follow-up from a person about your campaign, nothing else.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only with service providers that act on our instructions:
- Our website host and the email service that delivers form submissions to us.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, and Ads) for analytics and advertising measurement, as described above.
- Our scheduling tool, if you book a call.
- Professional advisers or authorities, if the law requires it.
Campaign details you share with us are treated as confidential. If you work with us through an agency, or ask for white-label work, we keep the client relationship private in line with that arrangement.
Cookies and your choices
The analytics and advertising tools above use cookies and similar identifiers. You can limit them:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Control how Google uses advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com.
- Opt out of session recording at hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track.
Where the law requires consent for these tools, we ask for it before they run.
How long we keep it
Inquiries, briefs, and the emails around them are kept for as long as we are working together or there is a reasonable prospect of doing so, and then for the period our business and legal obligations require. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools we use, which we keep to the shortest practical period. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see below.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@theairport.org. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request its deletion or correction; and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland
We process the information you send us on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry and, where we ask for it, your consent for analytics and advertising cookies. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Our servers and service providers are in the United States, so your information will be transferred there; we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses for those transfers.
Security
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection, and access to inquiries is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Children
theairport.org is a business-to-business site and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our pages may link to airports, media partners, and tools we use. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
