Short answer: cost What is the CPM for airport advertising?
Airport advertising is not sold on CPM; media owners price units per flight, and impressions are estimated from passenger traffic and placement, so any CPM is a calculation after the fact. A spot in a digital network at a major hub can work out to a low single-digit CPM over four weeks, while a spectacular or a lounge is bought for position and audience quality rather than cost per thousand.

The useful comparison is not CPM but who was there and for how long: passenger traffic for the airport and terminal, the placement's share of that flow, and dwell time. Impression estimates vary by media owner, and a report should say whose method each figure uses.
| What you can compare | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Passenger traffic for the flight | Public airport data, by month and terminal where published |
| Impressions | The media owner's estimate per unit, with its method named |
| Dwell time | Media-owner and industry research by placement |
| Share of voice | Your spots divided by the loop length |

Questions
Related questions
Why don't airports sell on CPM?
Units are priced by position and flight, and the audience is counted, not tracked; impressions are estimates.
Is a lower CPM better in airports?
Not necessarily; a spectacular on the arrival path in a conference week has a higher CPM and reaches the whole market.
How are airport impressions counted?
Estimated from passenger traffic and placement share; methods differ by media owner.
What does EAM Advertising handle on an airport campaign?
Everything after the objective. We check what's open for the week, which loops are crowded and which units will sell out, and where on the arrival path your audience actually walks. We recommend the mix, secure the units, traffic the creative through airport approval, confirm posting on day one, and deliver proof of posting and play logs after. If the airport is one market in a larger plan, the same relationship covers the others.
